The BIG Ultrasound!!!!!

We went in for our 18 weeks ultrasound today - and we have pink news! I'm so excited to have one of each - my boy AND my girl! I think Curtis is seeing dollar signs more than anything else, but he at least keeps it to himself :) Everything looked good at the ultrasound - the heartrate was 164 and since it was a Level 2 ultrasound (not always done by obs, but this is one reason I love my office - they do routine Level 2's) we could see all sorts of cool things. You can even see the 4 chambers of the heart beating away! They check to make sure that all the organs are there and in they're proper spot, and since we wanted to know, they checked for gender (she showed her stuff RIGHT away, lol!)

Here is the money shot, lol. It's hard to see on the picture, but the arrow is pointing to 3 little lines (running horizontally). Those lines indicate a girl. So this is most DEFINITELY a girl - the u/s tech was quite sure of herself!

And here is a profile of the head. She sort of had her chin tucked into her chest, so that's why there seems to be a weird angle there :)

Here's some cute pictures of Toby from this week. He climbed on the table to retrieve the Cheerios...that child can spot food from a half mile away, lol! Anyway, it was super cute, so I had to document it with the camera!

Nothing like a little chipmunk, is there?

Anyway, we thought we'd share our PINK news with you all! Have a super weekend!

Love,

Chel

Slide Away

This was a very successful week for me! I am the world's worst bargain hunter...I just can't find a bargain at a flea market :) But I noticed on trash day that our neighbors were throwing out their Little Tykes slide. So I rescued it! There was a piece broken, but Curtis was able to fix it today so Toby took his inagural slide down his new backyard toy!

It has been a busy week. Toby and I are taking swimming classes at the local health center. It's more of a water-comfort class for toddlers, but either way, he is having a blast, as am I. He's learning to kick, blow bubbles, lay on his back in the water, jump off the side (well, he doesn't quite get the concept of jumping yet, but he leans over until he falls into my arms!), and roll over. He has a great time and is OUT OF IT before we get home, much to the disruption of nap time.

We had to buy Toby new shoes yesterday...this is really the first time he's grown out of shoes. He was wearing 5's before but they were getting tight so we went to the shoe store...and walked away with a new pair of 7's! I just can't believe his feet are getting so big! Especially since he doesn't seem to be any taller...just a bigger platform to stand on I guess.

Here is my 17-week picture. It's hard to believe I am so far along already! Yikes!

Fourth and catch up

I have been meaning to get this up all week but times keeps getting away from me!

First of all, we had a nice Fourth. We started out going to the local Pet Parade, followed by the Independence Day Parade. What is a pet parade, you ask? Let me show you...

Toby had a great time watching all the dogs and then the parade pass by.

Later that evening we went to the local park to watch fireworks over the lake. We went early for hot dogs and to enjoy the music. Toby had a great time! He even enjoyed the fireworks, although he started out crying a little...but once he saw that everything was fine, he watched them from his vantage point buried in Daddy's shoulder :)

We had a very nice Fourth, and hope you all did as well.

Curtis being home on Wednesday has thrown both of us off...we cannot figure out what day it is, lol!

Yesterday we drove up to where Curtis will be attending grad school this fall. He had a meeting with someone in his department, so Toby and I went along and played outside, then we went shopping at the nearby shopping centers. We actually went out looking at double strollers, which was great! It was a long day but we got a lot accomplished.

Toby's schedule has been off since the Fourth. He was up a little later last night, so we thought he'd sleep in a little this morning...but no. He was up and very happy much earlier than I was ready to be. He was acting very tired by lunchtime...and I guess he was because in the middle of a conversation with Curtis I looked over and saw...

Yup, he fell asleep in his high chair. And those of you who know him know that this just does not happen with him, lol! He was so out of it. It was very cute though :)

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Oh, and I am doing well. I am 16 weeks now (hard to believe!). Curtis keeps telling me I look great this time around, although I haven't figured out whether I really do look good or if he's just trying his darndest to keep me in a good mood :P Either way, smart man!

Our Christmas Present

Curtis and I have decided on our Christmas present this year. It will have 10 fingers and 10 toes, 2 cute little ears, and 1 cute little nose.

Yup.

We're preggers!
My due date is December 18th and I am so excited to have a Christmas baby! With my bday being only a week from my due date, I could be having a baby very close to my own birthday! How much fun is that? Since Curtis's bday is the end of November, it looks like we'll have 3 Sagittarius in the family, to Toby's 1 Pices :)

I am 15 weeks along right now and feeling alright. I thought morning sickness had passed, but the last few days I've been getting bouts again...yuch! I hope it goes away for good SOON! I do have more energy though and that's a GOOD thing when trying to chase around a toddler!

Here is the last picture we took - this was at 12 weeks.

And while I'm posting pics, here are some from our visit to Ohio.

This is Toby at our friend's wedding...what a doof!

And this is the 3 of us at Toby's first Red's game. We went on Father's Day...unfortunantly the Reds lost, but it was still fun (albeit HOT) that day!

This is from the Columbus Zoo - Toby was very impressed with the tiger.

Here is Toby's first carousel ride, again, at the zoo.

Another funny face at the zoo :)

Blowing bubbles

Climbing into the golf cart

And one from home on his pony sporting his new cowboy hat...lol!

So how is that for a picture overload? We will keep everyone updated on the pregnancy!

And PS, No we do not know the gender yet, and yes, we will find out, and no, we don't care whether we have a boy or a girl :)

Curtis is HOME

After an exhausting three and a half weeks away, Curtis is finally home again! Yea!!!!! Gosh, it is so nice to all be home together. We have a lot to do this weekend, but at least we are all here to do it together.

I don't have much time, but there is a picture of Toby (and please excuse the mess)

Love, Chel

Water water Everywhere!

I found a great little play table at WalMart this week, and we filled it with water today...T had a great time! (As did the dog, lol)

Toby was just soaked when we were done, but mom was smart and had him in an outfit that snapped off in nothing flat. He had a lot of fun :) We went to the park this morning and had fun there. At lunch Toby had grapes, except he calls them "balls" - hehe! Too cute! The last time he had grapes he spit them right out, but today he scarfed them down! Yum yum.
