My new socks

These were so much fun to knit up! I used Lorna Lace yarn, Shephard sock in 630 Bittersweet. It is a mix, 80% Superwash wool, 20% nylon and it is so soft! I loved working with this yarn, even if it is a tad pricey, but it wears so nicely!

They took me a few weeks to do, but I was taking my time on the first sock, the second I did in about 3 days, so not too bad.

And More Pics

Ok, round 2 for today, although most of you will see this one first :P

Here is Toby walking to Mama - it was so hard to get a shot of this since he walks really fast! He's in my face grabbing at the camera before I can get the picture taken!

Ok, shhhh....don't tell Curtis I posted this online. He rarely checks the blog so he probably won't catch it himself. But isn't it just the cutest? Toby wasn't feeling well so he was sitting with Daddy falling asleep, and when I looked over both of them were out! Sorry this one is fuzzy, but I wanted to show off the new back carrier I made for Toby. It's very sturdy, and fairly comfortable to wear, except that my back has been giving me problems lately so I haven't used it. Plus, with Toby sneezing so much lately, I don't really want my hair coated in snot (I know, too gross, but I live it so OH WELL!)
This pic isn't twisted - Toby is leaning over and rubbing the blanket over his face - he loves soft things!
Does this really need a title?
Hope this takes care of catching up with some recent pics! Again, I'm really sorry I got behind. Things are crazy around here and I feel like I'm behind in everything. The only thing I can stay on top of is diaper laundry, and that's because that's just one of those things we can't do without! I did do a huge load of linens laundry today - even washed the pillows, which hadn't been washed in forever so I really felt I've accomplished a lot today! I even learned how to print my own labels from the USPS so tomorrow instead of dragging Toby to the post office, I have the box ready to go and it's all arranged the the carrier will pick the box up from my front porch! How cool is that? We live in an awesome age :)
It is supposed to be in the 60's all week. I'm just sorry we haven't bought Toby's bday present yet - we're planning on putting a swingset in the backyard. It's going to be so nice this week that we could really get some use out of it, but I guess it'll have to wait a bit. It will be so much fun to have though! We have a playground fairly close to the house, but believe it or not, there are no swingsets! What kind of sense does that make? It will be nice to have something right in our own backyard though.
Lots of love to you all,
Chel

Picture Fix

Ok, I am officially hanging my head in shame. I have been very lax about the pictures lately - I guess things got busy and this just got away from me. I offer my most profound apologies.

Maybe this will help?
Sorry this is a little blurred, but it's so cute I can't help but share!
I found this shirt at Old Nvy this week and couldn't resist! Can you believe it's a 24 Month?!?
This is currently Toby's favorite book - he loves touching the different textures!
There were a few more I wanted to add, but Blogger is not letting me add that many right now...I'll do another post in a bit with more pics. Toby's been sick this weekend - just a bad cold, but lots of snot and coughing! The pediatrician gave me some Dimatapp for him to help him sleep tonight - he's been coughing so much that he hasn't had much sleep lately. Well, except for the 2 hour nap he took this afternoon (bless him!)
I hope he feels better soon and that I don't end up with it next!

Bumbly Hat

I love this hat! Made on size 5 dpn with Canon Soft yarn with a pattern from Debbie Bliss baby hat pattern except I changed it to a knit in the round pattern instead of on two needles. Also, I made an i-cord at the top instead of the sewing a long thingie in half.

This is for one of Curtis's co-workers new babies.

Toby's New Trick

This was so cute today! He just started nodding to different things I was saying so I grabbed the video camera! I hope this video loads better than the last ones have...still not sure what is up with that!

Welcome to February everyone!

Snow Day!

Well part day, anyway.

We woke this morning to a lovely blanket of snow! The roads were even white! It's been 2 years since we've snow in these parts, and it sure is pretty!

Here is Lex enjoying snow! I don't think he even remembered what snow was, lol!

We bundled Toby up and made sure he got outside for his first snowfall! Of course, it was raining/ sleeting by the time we got out there, but there was still snow on the ground!

And here we are walking in the snow!

Just thought we'd share what's up in the neck of the woods!
