Yes it really is 12:35am

Ah the dreaded insomnia. I can't sleep so rather than toss and turn for hours I decided to surf the net for awhile in hopes it will make me sleep. No luck yet. I'm sure I will regret this tomorrow when Toby is raring to go and I am a walking zombie but if I have to nap when he does, oh well. In the meantime, here I am...

Other than the state of my sleeping there's not much new here. It rained most of the day...in fact it's been raining most of the last week, but there's sunnier skies ahead. Maybe we'll get down to the pool this weekend...it sure sounds refreshing.

Still trying to figure out what to do for the Fourth. I'd love to see fireworks, but I'm not sure how stinker will handle them...plus with the mosquitos I'm not sure it's worth the risk of him being ate up. Not to keen on the bites myself.

Well, I hope I get sleepy soon!!! Else we're in for a LONG night! (Toby will be up soon to eat anyway...or knowing my luck this will be his first night to sleep all the way through!)

Howdy!

Just wanted to share some new pictures with you all! We went to a church picnic tonight, which ended up being a carry-in since it's been raining all day...yuch! In fact, it's been raining most the weekend. Curtis is making a quick trip to Indy this week, but I think it's the shortest trip he's ever made, so I can't complain about that at all!

I can't believe we're into summer already...and June is nearly gone. Time flies by so quickly anymore! Toby is getting huge; we have a pediatrician appointment in two weeks so we'll get to see just how huge he is!

Sorry I've been slacking!

It's been so long since I've posted...my sincere apologies! Life has been extremely busy of late and I've barely had time to check my email, but hopefully things will settle down now. Toby is finally sleeping better at night...he's 3.5 months old now.

3 Months Old!

Toby is 3 months old today! Yay! We took pictures but they're on the camera, which is in the other room and I'm too tired to deal with it tonight anyway so pictures to come later :)

We had a great trip to Ohio last week, although it totally messed with Toby's schedule. And then he started teething while we were there and upon our return home he decided to go through a growth spurt which included eating every 3 hours all night long! Argh! Thankfully he's through that now and we're back to a decent amount of sleep.

Curtis is back at work again...it is so nice to be back to our regular life! At least it will be regular until the next trip which is of yet undetermined.

In other news, Curtis has a permanent position at Fort Bragg!!! After months of limbo we finally have a home for the next few years! So off to house-hunting! Wish us luck! I can't wait to get out of our apartment!!!!!

Best of Friends

I think Toby and Lex and going to get along just fine...Lex's new favorite hobby is sniffing Toby, and Toby usually smiles (but in this picture he just looked so funny I had to share).

Curtis comes home in 2 days! Yay! I can't wait! Of course poor Lex will be off to the kennel before Curtis gets home so he has to miss the grande homecoming :( But I'm sure he will make up for it with kisses when we all get home!

It was supposed to be sunny all day but instead it's been cloudy and drizzling here and there...ugh. At least it's warm though!

Two sides of the same coin

It's amazing how fast this child can go from smiling and happy to royally pissed off! Just to prove my point:

He has the cutest smile though (I know I'm biased, but what mother isn't?) And because I can't resist showing off that adorable smile:

Yup, he's a cutie :) We've had lots of rain here the last week or so, which really is a blessing since we've been in such a drought. Last night there were even tornado warnings...almost unheard of (except during hurricane season) in this area. But it really greens up the trees and flowers.

Toby is SO close to laughing...there are so many times I think "This is it!" but then he quiets down. It's amazing to watch how he learns to make new sounds and coos...before I know it he'll be a full-fledged talker! I am hoping he learns to laugh before we drive to Ohio...I'd love to be able to show off that giggle, but Curtis is hoping to be back before Tobes conquers that feat.

2 Months

We had our 2 month check up today! Toby weighed in at 14 lbs, 10 ozs and 24 3/4" long! He's getting so big! The dr said he is in the 75th percentile on weight, height, and head circumference. Yay! He had to have 4 shots, so t hat was hard to watch, but he's peacefully sleeping now.

Here's a pic of him watching the fish in his bouncer.
