Best of Friends

I think Toby and Lex and going to get along just fine...Lex's new favorite hobby is sniffing Toby, and Toby usually smiles (but in this picture he just looked so funny I had to share).

Curtis comes home in 2 days! Yay! I can't wait! Of course poor Lex will be off to the kennel before Curtis gets home so he has to miss the grande homecoming :( But I'm sure he will make up for it with kisses when we all get home!

It was supposed to be sunny all day but instead it's been cloudy and drizzling here and there...ugh. At least it's warm though!

Two sides of the same coin

It's amazing how fast this child can go from smiling and happy to royally pissed off! Just to prove my point:

He has the cutest smile though (I know I'm biased, but what mother isn't?) And because I can't resist showing off that adorable smile:

Yup, he's a cutie :) We've had lots of rain here the last week or so, which really is a blessing since we've been in such a drought. Last night there were even tornado warnings...almost unheard of (except during hurricane season) in this area. But it really greens up the trees and flowers.

Toby is SO close to laughing...there are so many times I think "This is it!" but then he quiets down. It's amazing to watch how he learns to make new sounds and coos...before I know it he'll be a full-fledged talker! I am hoping he learns to laugh before we drive to Ohio...I'd love to be able to show off that giggle, but Curtis is hoping to be back before Tobes conquers that feat.

2 Months

We had our 2 month check up today! Toby weighed in at 14 lbs, 10 ozs and 24 3/4" long! He's getting so big! The dr said he is in the 75th percentile on weight, height, and head circumference. Yay! He had to have 4 shots, so t hat was hard to watch, but he's peacefully sleeping now.

Here's a pic of him watching the fish in his bouncer.

A Beautiful May Day

The weather down here is just beautiful! Sunny, breezy, and warm!

Curtis is on another trip so it's just me, Toby, and Lex...so far so good!

Here are some pictures we took over the weekend.

Congrats to my brother and his fiancee who are graduating this week! I wish I could be there to watch! Good luck you two!

7 Weeks

Toby is already 7 weeks! And he's been kind enough to start sleeping longer at night...he's been down by 10 and sleeping a 5-6 hour stretch the last few nights. Yay! He's also been smiling more...those smiles make my day! He enjoys his bath time, and loves having his hair washed.

Curtis and I are enjoying our new car. We drove to the eye doctor this weekend so I could have an exam and get a new pair of glasses...the trip was successful (yay!). We've been taking lots of walks since the weather is beautiful down here. We are still in a drought, but we've had some rain in the last week, and that has helped green things up.

Other than that, life is quiet. The most exciting part of our day is when Toby feels like smiling and playing!

6 Weeks

Tobias is 6 weeks old today! It's hard to believe! Supposedly everything gets better after 6 weeks, so we shall see... Last night he gave me 4 hours, then was up every 2! Argh! He hasn't done that in a long time!

We went to church for the first time with Toby yesterday and he slept the whole time! Yay! Here he is in his Easter outfit:

He is sleeping now, but I think i will have to wake him in a few minutes and make sure he has some awake time...I want to sleep tonight!

And if it wasn't enough that I didn't get much sleep last night, my glasses broke first thing this morning, so now I am stuck wearing contacts, which I don't normally do when I'm tired.

What a Monday!

Hoppy Easter!

Here's wishing you all a wonderful Easter holiday. Curtis and I will be going to church in the morning, and then he is grilling ribs for our Easter dinner.

Yesterday we made it out to the mall and had Toby's picture taken with the Easter Bunny! The picture isn't the greatest since the sun was coming through the window, and Toby was very sleepy...but it was a good way to commemorate his first Easter.

It is VERY hot here today...close to 90! It's hard to believe that Easter is tomorrow with the temperatures the way they are, but that is April in the south!

Have a wonderful holiday!
Love,

Chel and Curtis
